Hi, my name is Janine and i'm from Germany. Although i was born in 1984 i am still a passionate wowplayer. I like to be successful and have fun while doing so.

I'm applying for a spot in one of your raidteams for Tomb of Sargeras and upcoming adventures. My goals in World of Warcraft are: have a comfy home (guild), with cool people to sit on TeamSpeak even after raids are done. Maybe i'm just too old for “just” raid, but a good atmosphere in a guild is important for me. That's also the reason why I left two of my ex-guilds :(

I am working as a SEO Editor for a german gaming website. I am happy to fulfill this job in home office. From time to time i have to spend a day or two in berlin at the company (most likely ever 3-4 months). I do have a dog - a beautiful black lab <3 When i don't work or play games i spend the most of my time with him outside.

For how long have you been playing World of Warcraft?

I am playing World of Warcraft since the very beginning. The first character i've played in this game was created on alpha-servers back in the days. I am playing WoW ever since and never took a break from it. Still loving it like in the very beginning.

Total time played & Time played on current character on current expansion:
Due to the fact that i swapped around my maincharacters regarding the needs of my former guilds, i'd like to add the played time from 3 of my characters to give a reasonable answer to this:

  • Priest: 366 days, current expansion: 45 days (main in EN, ToV, Burning Crusade > Siege of Orgrimmar)
  • Shaman: 90 days, current expansion: 25 days (main since playing in EP)
  • Paladin: 105 days, current expansion: 5 days (main in WoD, 4th alt in Legion)

Previous guilds and your reason(s) for leaving them:
Sorry for the following text, but i'd like to give a deeper insight into the reasons why i left and what happened. I think it might be interesting for some people to know why things happen and why i didn't stay any longer :( For anyone who doesn't want to read this wall of text i'll summarize previous guilds i've been in later on.

My first serious raidingguild was UndisputeD on Azshara (now Terrordar) where I played my warlock until BC. At that point I rerolled to my priest cause we lacked healers and I’ve been playing healer ever since.

After being in UndisputeD since the very beginning I was looking for a new challenge in early 2011 and went to Refuge. Unfortunately because of personal differences with another raidmember I asked to be demoted to Family&Friends and started looking for something more fitting, which I found in Myth.

I was quite happy in that guild until they spontaneously decided to go to 10man and because I wanted to stay in a 25man guild I went to critical luders, in which I stayed until it was time to get prepared for WoD. There were a lot of reasons to leave that guild. At first I’ve been in this guild since February 2012 but officers often treated their members like trials and didn't give them any feedback or appreciation.

In UndisputeD and Myth this was different - at some point in those guilds i started feeling like a part of the main team. Additionally I felt that the german community changed and I needed something new – people were toxic and salty during raids and I didn't feel happy with this situation anymore.

So I took the chance to try something new and went to the english alliance guild Inner Sanctum on Silvermoon (suprise suprise!). We did a good start into Warlords of Draenor and everything went fine until Blast Furnace. At one day our guildmaster decided that he didn't want to play this game anymore and the raid was disbanded. Over all this was the best experience i've ever had in WoW cause i learned so much about the english community, other countries, the language and so on. It was fun!

After the disband I decided to go “hardcore” (why not give it a try?) and joined Rapid Eye Movement, because some recent IS-players went there as well. About 4 weeks later I was approached by my old (german) guild – critical luders – and was asked if I wanted to come back to my old “home”. I said yes and regret that I did, cause nothing changed since I went to the english side of raiding life.

The main reason I left REM was, that there was no real “community” beside raids. Maybe it was just my fault, that I thought like that but it was different in IS - And I missed this and wrongly thought it would be better in a guild where I knew most of the people. But as I stated before: nothing changed in CL and there were even less social interactions than in MoP.

So I decided to join a new project with some people I knew from IS and other german players: Why Me. Everything felt good and shiny until the guild reached Blackhand and did their first real progress as a team. People started shouting at each other, being toxic about other players and somehow it was unbearable in my opinion. Especially the guildleader changed his behaviour and screamed at people. I was afraid that the guild could just collapse in the upcoming progress in HFC, but I gave it a try.

We killed the first 3 bosses on mythic and didn't even manage to rekill all 3 of them. Got a bunch of new people without any experience in HFC or progress-raiding and it was a pain in the ass to raid with the given roster and a constantly raging GM.

After that i took the opportunity to join DarkStorm on Zenedar. I spent a lot of time with ppl in DS and it felt like i was coming home. Tho after Legion was released there have been more and more cliques around and the environment became more toxic than it was ever before.

Sadly i was told that my perfomance would not have been good enough to continue progressing with them in The Nighthold. Let's say it like this: yes, i failed from time to time to mechanics and the fresh start as a holypriest (rerolled from paladin in WoD to holypriest again), but it was not like i sucked badly. The only encounter i delievered a bad performance was Cenarius mythic and i could never deny that. The rest were just fails like everyone else did. But well.. they wanted me out, they got me out.

So fresh start in EmptyPromises where i was happy to get a spot cause they were looking for another healer. The guildmaster knew me from our shared time in Inner Sanctum and took me in.
Sadly the guild did have some issues while progressing in Legion, allthough in ToS it was pretty decent until we had some problems with our roster. Some times were rough, but some times were good as well. Due to the fact i am not after ranks anymore, i would probably have stayed there – cause i am not the one to search for something new if there are problems, which can be solved on a long term.

But now my workschedule has changed due to some new tasks i got from my company and i can't put that much time into raiding anymore. EP starts at 7pm servertime and raids 5 days (7 in first 2 weeks progression) and i can't stand that times anymore. I was asked to stay as a backup-healer – but to be honest: if i raid, i want to give 100 % effort for the raid and not just be „needed“ if someone is not available.

Wowtrack: https://wowtrack.org/characters/EU/Frostmane/Tiggye (Delacroix is not my character, but wowtrack didn't change it although i sent a ticket 3 times already)
  1. UndisputeD: Was looking for a new challenge, lack of motivation in the roster
  2. Refuge: I didn't get along that well with some ppl - literally 15 y/o flamer
  3. Myth: Went 10 man in late Cataclysm > I wanted to stay in a 25 man raid
  4. Critical luders: German community changed, toxicity, no good atmosphere anymore
  5. Inner Sanctum: Raid disband in BRF (blast furnace) cause old guildmaster didn't want to raid/lead anymore
  6. REM: Tried to go "hardcore", not the right spot for me
  7. Critical luders: Was approached by the guildmaster to come back to them. Guild disbanded some time later. If i only knew it better at that point...
  8. Why Me: New project - horribly failed
  9. DarkStorm: Times change and so did the people. I didn't fit in anymore.
  10. EmptyPromises: Raiding too much for my new workschedule, not worth putting that much time into the game with low outcome (sounds harsh, i know, but i am honest)

How did you hear about Inner Sanctum?
Well due to the fact i've been already here in the end of Mists of Pandaria/early WoD, i knew the guild since that time. I still have some old alts in here :)

Why Inner Sanctum and why should we accept YOU?
Hard question, but i try to give you an acceptable answer. First of all i always liked the atmosphere in Inner Sanctum. YES, i know the roster has changed since i've been here and new age dawned. But i watched some of your streams from time to time and i have to say, that it (at least in my ears) doesn't sound that much different. It still sounds like a comfy home to sit and joke around and have some fun while playing the game. You still achieve good killtimes and have a certain amount of professionality – i like it.

You should get me in, cause i am a reliable and motivated player. I don't care about meters and WoL-ranks. Of course it's a nice feeling to top the meters. But if someone dies due to pushing some more AoE-healing, it's just a bad move of the healer. In my opinion it's more important to do sustained healing to people that need the heals than to dominate the meters. I'm am able to take care of dispells, singletarget heals and other stuff like placing my CDs on Tanks/other raiders at the right time.

If i commit myself to something i fulfill the needs of that hobby at 100 %. Of course i always have to take a look at my free time, but that spare time i still like to spend ingame for improvements or just fun (improving my character, alt runs, see something new on a new alt, and so on).

Do you know anyone from Inner Sanctum in-game or irl already? If yes, who and will they vouch for you?
I am pretty sure the only one left from „old“ Inner Sanctum is Henri. Kenah came back as far as i know as well. I know falsefiction from DarkStorm and Sinkqt was in EP (for 2 weeks or so ^^). If they'd vouch for me? I don't know, but i hope so :)

2 players who would vouch for me are Nahm from EmptyPromises and Nymzee from DarkStorm.

What is your raid experience (on any character and including past experience)?
I progressed and killed every boss while it was current. Playing since WoW:Classic and being able to raid since then was a good experience in my opinion and it made fun! :)

  • BRF: 10/10 mythic (Iron Maidens world#19 with Inner Sanctum, after that kill blast furnace with REM, progress blackhand with REM - almost killed it, but they decided to take their original setup to kill it :) killed blackhand after that with critical luders)
  • HFC: 13/13 mythic (1-3 with Why Me, 4-13 with DarkStorm, progressed xhul, tyrant and mannoroth with them, rest rekills – they took in the 2nd holypaladin to let him play on archimonde)

What do you expect from raiding in Inner Sanctum?
I expect a stable, non-toxic raiding-environment with a grain of fun and laughters while progressing. Also i expect people who share my mindset of WoW: having fun while achieving something within such a small amount of time.

Do you have a microphone and are you willing to use it during raids?
Yes i do have a microphone and yes i am willing to use it during raids for important stuff.

Can you attend all of our raid times listed in the rules? How often do you expect to miss a raid?
As stated above: i do have to visit the company i am working for quarterly. It's something between 1 and 3 days i am in Berlin and not at home if that's the case. Due to the fact you only raid 3 days, i can probably easily manage to put those days on non-raid-days. In general i don't expect to miss any raids :)

How much do you play outside of raiding times?
I love playing alts – you could call me alt-addict, i guess. I can't really describe it, but in my opinion it's fun to see how other classes work in raids. Of course it's nice to see alt-characters to get gear as well. For me it was always like being able to swap my maincharacters if it's needed.

How would you describe yourself as a raider?
If i had to describe myself as a raider, i would use those words: patient, motivated and goal-driven. I try to find solutions for problems, no matter if it's something mechanical (PTR-discussions) or something with my healing which i could improve. Besides that i am willing to fulfill any tasks that i am given, even if that means i had to stand at one spot for the whole fight healing only one tank.

What addons do you use to improve your raiding performance?
Using grid2 as raidframes, weakauras for all the important stuff, XRT for Raidcooldowns, ElvUI as the base, standardstuff like bigwigs, skada.

Combatlogs:
Sadly EmptyPromises had private logs so i can't add them here :(

Extra information:
I am playing holypriest since the start of Legion. In former expansions i also played disc (in WoD as an alt for example and for highmaul imperator). To be honest i prefer playing holy atm but i understand how strong disc is. I am willing to learn it again and to farm neccessary legendaries and stuff (only got 2 disc legendaries until now) but it might take a while to learn the fights. Disc was not „needed“ until now, that's why i didn't take a deeper look into it.

If it's more useful for you i can also play my shaman. I am comfy with her as i am with my priest, so i wouldn't mind if you want the shaman in :)

I’m looking forward to your feedback. I would love to talk on Teamspeak or even get a trialspot.

With kind regards,
Tiggi

Hello Tiggi,

Thank you for your interest in Inner Sanctum. Very interesting application. As our healing roster for Team 1 is pretty packed as it is, I would still love to have a chat with you.

If you could add me, Sagart#2889 , I'm interested in hearing some more from you and sit on a few questions.

Speak soon! Regards, Sags.
