For how long have you been playing World of Warcraft?
I’ve been playing since Vanilla with a large break from early MoP through to Legion.

Total played time:
260 days on my Druid.

Time played on current character in current expansion:
22 days

Guild and raid info

Previous guilds and your reason(s) for leaving them:
I Raided with a number of guilds over the years leading up to my break. I was raiding with “Kill loot Repeat” on Sylvanas in MoP at the time of my quitting. We were within World top 500 and close to clearing terrace when I decided to step down due to Internet Issues affecting my performance and causing me a fair bit of frustration. At that point I unsubbed and didn’t come back until Legion. It’s the time between then and now I’d like to focus on to give you some background on myself.
My Girlfriend actually got me to resub as she was an active player and knew when we got together I used to be play. Deal was I’d move to her server if she changed to alliance. So off to Emerald Dream I went.

<Fighting Mongooses> FM were by all means a very casual guild. I’d resubbed to play with my gf but still wanted to dip my toes into the raid content and see what things were like after such a break. The other half hadn’t done much raiding at all and was by all means not very good at the time. So FM seemed like a good fit for us to both get to do a little raiding. We joined not long after NH launched. I quickly got accustomed to Raiding on the new style Boomkin and with some gear started topping their dps meters most of the time. We cleared NH & ToS hc each not long before the next tier would release however. During this time I’d been coaching the gf on her Hunter play. Teaching her how to use resources online in order to fine tune her rotation, use logs to compare what she is doing compared to other better performing hunters are doing etc. By the time ToS was finishing up she was one of the best performing players in the guild. And both of us were getting a little fed up of the slow progression through heroic raids. So we moved on and joined VII.

<VII> We were both accepted into VII as I was keen to see what Mythic raiding was actually like having quit previously before its launch. With my other half being a maybe for the mythic team and a deffo for the HC farm socials. This was about the time Antorus came out. We both proved ourselves to be capable of the performance required for a regular mythic spot and off we went. During progression there were a few instances of issues within the team and I didn’t feel like the GM’s attitude to dealing with these issues was ideal. However this wasn’t quite a deal breaker so I just kept my head down and carried on. As we moved onto the harder bosses it was more apparent who were the weaker links within the raid team were. One of them being the GM, who would of course never sit out for a raid regardless of composition. After a long struggle with both Aggra and Argus we got cutting edge and job done. In the time between Pre patch and xpack release a number of people would take “breaks” only to not end up coming back. Some changed class and ended up not being able to perform on their new class. And most that were recruited to fill the gaps were not performing all that well either. Raid team certainly felt weaker than it did closing out Legion and the GM’s passive aggressive responses to anything negative (Even when the person was trying to be constructive) pushed me towards wanting to leave. I’d been toying with the idea of leaving for a while as I wasn’t really satisfied there but pretty much stayed for my gf. But eventually told her I wasn’t going to keep raiding with them as I’d had enough and wanted to try and push progress more. She plays at a level good enough for them, but wouldn’t cut it in a higher ranking progression focussed guild so is staying there and our raiding together days come to an end. I didn’t initially want to move off, of the server so had a look at my options within ED. Being quite a low pop server there are very few active Mythic guilds and none of these were particularly well progressed, and most already had full rosters. In the end I Managed to get accepted into Indecisive.

<Indecisive> Not a huge amount to say here really as I’ve only been in the guild about two weeks. On the whole they are much better than VII. The officers are a great bunch. On average players perform better, though there is still a large gap between some people. However I still find myself not satisfied. I put a great deal of time myself in understanding boss fights before I get to them, understanding my class, its strengths and weaknesses, making sure I have consumables for each raid. So when we get to our first night of Fetid and several people don’t even know the basic mechanical changes between HC and Mythic I find it a little irritating given how we’d killed Vectis 3 nights before and everyone we’d be moving onto Fetid. Paired with a few players that I feel are a little too fixated on their log rankings. (Boss kills > Parses) So I’m now looking to leave and find a team of people with a similar mindset to my own.

TL:DR: Came back to wow, raided with scrub guild as gf was scrub. Helped her get less scrub so we could join a Mythic guild. Mythic guild was better and a good fit for gf but eventually I decided I wanted to push content a lot harder which it seems none of the guilds on my server do. So applying here, sup?

How did you hear about Inner Sanctum?
I found your on the WoW Progress site.

Why Inner Sanctum and why should we accept YOU?
I’ve been looking at a lot of guilds listed as recruiting a Balance Druid. One of the immediate draws to you guys is the Raid times. You raid the same days that I have been doing for over a year now so attendance will not be an issue. And of course the progress. That kind of consistent progress throughout the guilds history is impressive. And I can only assume a lot of work goes into every tier. That is the kind of team I want to be a part of
As for why I should be accepted? I put the time in both in and outside of the raid. Due to my work I have quite a bit of downtime in my working day in which I’m often analysing logs. Looking for potential dps improvements for myself or looking for potential tactic tweaks that could increases our chances of a kill. Logs I think are the most powerful tool we have at our disposal and I try to make full use of them. I’m near constantly hovering around in my spec’s discord channel to ensure I don’t miss out on any news. I try to watch multiple boss videos before progression(from boomkin perspective where possible) I sim near enough everything, ended up buying a premium sub for it because simming as much as I am with those queues is just not practical. The mythic parses I do have from my current kills show I can effectively perform my job to a high standard where applicable. But I’m always more interested in the kill than the parse.
Bottom line is I understand how much work is needed to raid at this level. I feel like I already put that level of effort in, I’d like to be somewhere that others do as well.

Do you know anyone from Inner Sanctum in-game or irl already? If yes, who and will they vouch for you?
I’m afraid not.

What is your raid experience (on any character and including past experience)?
I’ve listed below all raids that I did progress on as current content. Up until Legion there were quite a few gaps due to irl back then not always permitting raiding. Since returning in legion however I have a much more consistent work schedule and have not had this issue.
WOTLK: Cleared Naxx, Malygos + Sartharian.
Cata: BoT 4/4 HC, BWD 5/6HC, To4W 1/2 HC – Firelands 6/7 HC – Dragon Soul 8/8 HC
MoP: MV 6/6 HC, HoF 6/6 HC, ToES 2/4 HC
Legion: NH 10/10 HC, ToS 6/9 M, AtBT: 11/11 M
Bfa: 4/8 M

What do you expect from raiding in Inner Sanctum:
A Progress focused environment where people want to put the guilds progress as the number one priority. Whether that means sitting out a fight for a better composition, passing on an item as it’s a bigger upgrade somewhere else or just doing your research in terms of boss prep. That’s the kind of mindset I have and I’m hoping I will find it in others here.

Do you have a microphone and are you willing to use it during raids?
Yes

Can you attend all of our raid times listed in the rules? How often do you expect to miss a raid?
Should not be an issue. I do plan to fit in a Holiday or two throughout the calendar year and the occasional weekend event. However outside of this I usually plan my irl social stuff around Raid times as WoW is my main hobby.

How much do you play outside of raiding times?
Most evenings I am usually on for a few hours in the week. At the weekends unless I have something going on irl I’m likely to be on WoW.

How would you describe yourself as a raider?
Dedicated and Hardworking. I have put a lot of time into Boomkin and I will be continuing to do so for as long as this game keeps going.

What addons do you use to improve your raiding performance?
Weak Auras, Bigwigs, Bartender, Exorsus Raid Tools, Angry Assignments and Details would be the main ones.

Info about you and what you do when not playing WoW: Outside of WoW I’m a full time IT Technician working for an Engineering Company just outside of London. I live with my wonderful gf in a not so wonderful town a little outside of London. As well as gaming I enjoy Heavy metal music and tend to get out to several gigs throughout the year and maybe a festival. I also enjoy the occasional night at the pub where I like to a bit fucked up.

If you have any questions for me please feel free to ask. Other than that thank you for your consideration and for taking the time to read my wall of text. Also congrats on your G’huun kill.
